ACN was born in 1975 as a distributor of scientific equipment for research and nuclear medicine.

He was the first distributor of BERTHOLD equipment. Subsequently, ACN was the world's first manufacturer of microprocessor-controlled gamma counters with video terminals, for this brand with the name VIDEOGAMMA ®.

In its commercial evolution, ACN began producing in 80 bone densitometers and is now among the world's four producers of this type of equipment (the others all have their headquarters in the United States are: Hologic, Lunar and Norland).

In recent years, the ACN has completed the project for "the development of a measurement system mineralometrica os calculated using detector arrays", funded by the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technology.

In this project was also carried out a small gamma field camera for thyroid scintigraphy; an innovative product of high quality and unique in the field of nuclear medicine.
