Enhanced visibility in endodontics: Dentsply Sirona introduces new 3D EndoTM software
A program designed to improve planning and workflows in endodontic treatment is now also available in Germany. Dentsply Sirona will present this new software solution for the first time at the Annual Congress of the German Society of Endodontics and Traumatology (DGET in Frankfurt). The application works on the basis of 3D X-ray data generated by Dentsply Sirona Orthophos units.
How many root canals are present? What form does the root canal anatomy and morphology take? Are there severe curvatures or branching points? Are some canal sections difficult to access? These are typical questions asked by endodontic specialists that can now be answered with much more certainty using state-of-the-art practices. With the new 3D EndoTM software and its special visualization of 3D X-ray data generated by Orthophos units, the dental practitioner can identify the requirements for root canal treatment, analyze the shape of the root canals and use this information to select suitable rasps from the integrated rasp database.
As a result of this first joint software project by Dentsply Sirona– the world leaders in the fields of endodontics and digital radiography- and its engineers, scientists and software developers, endodontic treatments can now be better prepared, planned more efficiently and performed more safely. In addition, the dental practitioner can now explain the initial position and the planned treatment more vividly to the patients.
